Prairie Birthday Farm is a small-scale family farm in Kearney, Missouri. They have an intensively diversified operation with an emphasis on land stewardship and resilient permaculture. In the last few years, they have also installed an agrivoltaics system. This system combines energy generation with food production, providing benefits for both systems. This field day will include a tour from farm owner, Linda Hezel, with an emphasis on their newly installed agrivoltaics system. We will discuss agrivoltaics installation, set-up costs, and benefits. Good Energy Solutions, the co-designer and installer, will also be present to speak on engineering and material considerations.
